Hear Ashley's Story
I’ve been there …
I understand the feeling of not knowing when or how to use your voice, feeling like there must be more to life (and work and whatever else it might be) but having no idea what to do about it. I’ve had strengths and potential that have been left dormant. Life was blah. And honestly, I was exhausted by it. Full and abundant life? I know it’s a promise. (Jesus says so!) But where? How?
I found freedom when I realized no one else could build my dream life for me. No one else was going to tap into my strengths the way I could tap my strengths. My full and abundant life was mine – I simply needed to let myself fan that fire deep inside, dream big, and trust that I was equipped! Now it’s your turn … and I’m here to help!
Fun facts about me:
I hold an MDiv (Master of Divinity; sounds so cool, but really I’m a total nerd!) making me an ordained, full-time Lutheran Pastor at the fastest growing church in the country! I love Jesus A LOT!
My love language is French - literally. I’ve studied it, I speak it, and I plan to live in France one day. (And I currently travel there any chance I get!)
I have two young kiddos who are the reason I do what I do. Coming home burnt out and tired was not a life or a model I wanted to set for them. Now they see a mom who lives, loves, and leads abundantly!
I’m married to Tyler, an exceptional swimmer (as in, swam in the 2012 olympic trials and held school records for the Iowa Hawkeyes for a long time…) and my biggest support and cheerleader. He’s the absolute best. And we’ve been in the honeymoon stage since 2014. (Yuck! and also … for real. *heart eyes*)
Coffee is my bestest friend. Even my kids offer to bring me coffee, make me coffee in their play kitchen, or stop at the coffee shop. Jesus is life, and coffee comes in second.
